Implants

Please Note:

The following explanation is very confusing for most patients. Please call us for a free consultation so we can discuss your case and answer your questions face to face.

Implant is a hollow titanium screw (photo 1) that is embedded in the jaw. There are three phases from start to finish. Phase one is the surgery to place the body of the implant in the jaw. There are two more stages involved after the surgery phase, to restore the implant body embedded in the jaw. Stage two is "an abutment" or "a connector" and stage three is the restorative part. Healing period after the surgery is 3-5 months. D

Depending on the number of missing teeth and the final restoration of the area, implants may be used for either a fixed or a removable restoration.

Fixed:

Single tooth replacement: (photo 2)  a connector attached  and a crown is fabricated.

Multiple teeth replacement: (photo 3) a connector attached and  a bridge is fabricated.

Removable:

Full arch replacement: (photo 4) a simple ball connector or a bar connector is fabricated then an over-denture seats/snaps on the connectors.
